Founding Board Member
Alex Batlin is the Global Head of Emerging Business & Technology team and the Global Blockchain Lead at BNY Mellon, responsible for research and development of emerging technology enabled business strategy, business models, products and services.
Previously, Alex was a Senior Innovation Manager at UBS, a founding head of both UBS's FinTech Innovation Lab based in UK's Level 39 accelerator and UBS's Crypto 2.0 Pathfinder research programme into blockchain technology and it's impact on business models, head of UBS's technology research service, delivering market landscapes, insights and foresight to business, technology and leadership communities, and an engineer in UBS's technology R&D team, researching big data analytics, social media, cloud and mobile computing, device security, unified communication and cognitive computing technologies. Further back, he was bank's global head of SDLC services.
Prior to joining UBS, Alex worked at Nomura, JPMorgan and CSC. He has a degree in Computer Science from University of Bristol.
JULIO FAURA ENRIQUEZ
Head of R&D, Innovation Design
Julio’s career has been running for more than 20 years along the worlds of Technology and Financial Services.
He started out as chip designer, focusing on high performance analog (full custom) and digital systems-on-chip as well as complex chip design platforms that led to more than 30 publications in international refereed forums.
He then worked for McKinsey & Co, where he specialized in Banking serving many of the top financial institutions in Spain, Europe and LatAm. In 2007 he joined Santander, where he has played corporate leadership roles in Investment Banking, Consumer Finance, and IT & Operations, and has participated in many of Santander’s acquisition processes during the last years.
He currently plays a leading role in Santander's Innovation Division, executing major innovation projects globally, leading new business incubation efforts, and actively contributing to Santander's M&A and Venture Capital activity in Fintech. A passionate entrepreneur, he founds internal startups and Joint Ventures, focusing on eCommerce, digital financial services, alternative (online) lending platforms and marketplaces, and mobile payments.
Julio also leads Santander's activities around crypto-currencies, blockchain and distributed ledgers, including collaboration with other leading banks in the space, running internal crypto-currency technical labs, leading the creation and participating in industry consortia, and regularly speaking at relevant industry forums.
An engineer at heart, Julio holds a Telecommunication Engineering degree from UPM-Spain, a PhD in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering from UAM-Spain, and a MsC in Management of Technology from MIT-Sloan
Blockchain Principal Program Manager@HiroMarleyG
Marley Gray currently serves as the Principal Program Manager on the Azure Blockchain Engineering team leading the architecture and development of Microsoft’s Blockchain Middleware platform code named – “Bletchley”. Prior to this role, he was Director for Business Development and Tech Strategy for the Cloud and Enterprise division at Microsoft where he initiated Microsoft’s Blockchain as a Service project. In his current role, he is responsible for developing and delivering the company’s blockchain middleware development platform.
Marley’s information technology career spans more than 25 years. He specializes in software development, architecture and platform strategy matched with 17 years immersed within financial services. Marley is a strong advocate for incubating disruptive technologies at Microsoft and the industry.
A regular speaker at Microsoft’s business, technical and developer events, Marley graduated from Appalachian State University in 1991 and is an avid reader and football fan. He currently lives in the Seattle area.

Jeremy Millar has been one of the driving forces behind the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, and is Founding Board Member of the EEA as well as Chief of Staff of ConsenSys.
Jeremy began his career as an early Java Architect at Oracle, where he oversaw early adopter and beta programs for Oracle’s Java products. This included helping shape Oracle’ enterprise Java strategy, during the emergence of enterprise Java standards. More recently, he was early advisor to Acunu, one of the core developers of Cassandra, acquired by Apple. He holds a Master’s in Finance from Oxford University and was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs from 2006-2011. Jeremy was a founding partner at Magister Advisors, where he led the emerging technology practice. He is also an active angel investor and mentor with the Barclays Accelerator powered by Techstars.
ConsenSys is one of the largest blockchain companies globally, with over 150 employees in 15 countries. At ConsenSys, Jeremy oversees commercial operations and global expansion.

Andrew is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, in Computer Engineering and in Computer Science. Andrew is also an Associate Director of the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Contracts (IC3) at Cornell and an advisor to the zcash project. Andrew received my Ph.D. from the University of Maryland Cybersecurity Center.
My research interests are broadly in computer security, and focused on the design of secure decentralized systems and cryptocurrencies. Andrew combines techniques from programming languages, cryptography, and distributed computing.

Sandra Ro Executive Director, Head of Digitization at CME Group. Ro is responsible for the company’s digital assets and blockchain / distributed ledger technology (DLT) initiatives. Previously as Executive Director, Head of Foreign Exchange (FX) and Metals Research and Product Development she was responsible for the global development of CME Group FX and Metals solutions within listed and cleared OTC products.
Ro was recently named to the Innovate Finance, Women in Fintech 2016 Power List and holds directorships/founding memberships on several industry boards including the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) , Post Trade Distributed Ledger Group (PTDL) , Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) , AlphaPoint Industry Advisory Board.
Prior to joining CME Group in 2011, Ro led the EMEA M&A FX and interest rates derivatives, event driven advisory group within Global Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, London and worked at Deutsche Bank as a FX structurer on the London trading floor.
Ro holds a M.B.A. in Finance from London Business School, studied Computer Science at Columbia University School of Continuing Education, and received a double B.A. Degree in History and Studies in the Environment from Yale University, specialized in the proliferation of biological and chemical weaponry in the 20th century.
She currently participates on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Yale Alumni Fund (YAF), leads the Technology subcommittee, and is a Chairman’s Award recipient (2014). She advises and supports several children and education-focused non-profits in the US, UK, and sub-Saharan Africa.

David has over 19 years of experience in financial services with expertise in strategy, innovation, strategic cost management, large-scale restructuring, customer relationship management, M&A, and process excellence. Currently focused on innovation in Financial Services specializing in Distributed Ledger / Blockchain, Robotic Process Automation, and Cognitive Computing.

Victor is a recognized thought leader in the blockchain space having organized several of the first Ethereum hackathons and presented at several conferences including Ethereum’s DevCon1 and EY’s Innovation Summit. At BlockApps, he helped define the STRATO architecture to solve key blockchain issues of data transparency and scaling.
Victor is a serial entrepreneur and tech/product founder of multiple startups. He was the Founder and Chief Product Officer of the mobile family startup SmarTots. SmarTots was the winner of the Global Mobile Internet startup award and has over 7 million app downloads. It has partnerships with Hasbro, Crayola, Apple, Xiaomi and Tencent, and received Series A investment from SoftBank and ZenFund. He was also the Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Speak2Me, the largest English language learning social network in China with over a million registered users.
Speak2Me was acquired by the publiclylisted company Lingo Media in 2007. His previous experience includes working at adidas, where he developed and launched their award winning Canadian B2B portal and online store, and video/imaging software company Ulead Systems in Los Angeles/Taipei. He holds a patent for Conversation Advertising, a method for embedding product placements in online interactive lessons.
